The national accelerator for Australian tech
Startups and scale-ups work with a mentor on their growth and capital plans, sharpen up in specialist workshops and test it all in front of independent judges. The competition is the finish line, not the point.
A pitch night gives you five minutes. The ATC gives you months: a mentor, a plan, investor sessions and workshops, before anyone steps on a stage.
Since 2010, more than 600 Australian technology companies have come through as semi-finalists. By the time the judges see the final pitches, they are assessing the strength of the business, not just the presentation.
01 Selected
Founders apply for free. Independent judges read every entry and shortlist the companies with real technology, real traction and a global mindset. Those semi-finalists join the cohort.
02 Matched
We match every semi-finalist with a mentor from a pool of more than 200 operators, investors, corporate leaders and commercialisation experts, chosen for that company’s stage and sector.
03 Planned
With their mentor, founders work through the business plan and the growth plan: the market, the customer, the model and what it takes to get to the next stage. It is hands-on, and it is written down.
04 Funded
We work through how the company will fund its growth: how much, from whom and when. Founders meet investors and get a straight answer to the question every raise turns on: are you fundable?
05 Judged
Companies take their plans to independent judges drawn from venture capital, corporate Australia and science. Judges give structured feedback along the way. Finalists pitch for five minutes on a national stage.
06 Sharpened
The Growth Masterclass and the workshops that follow cover pitching, go-to-market, pricing, IP, AI and capital raising, run by people who do it for a living.

Hypersonic aerospace
Closed a $46 million Series A, was chosen from more than 60 applicants as the first prototype company for the US Defense Innovation Unit’s HyCAT hypersonic testing program, flew its DART AE aircraft above Mach 5 and grew its team past 60 people.

Deeptech
Australian Technology Company of the Year
Building the world’s first field-deployable quantum data transceivers, using diamond-based technology. Its HaloCore system is a 15 kg, briefcase-sized unit that carries data in the quantum states of single photons.
Medtech
Two ATC award wins
A lightweight, tankless oxygen device that gives respiratory patients continuous therapy and real mobility. Roam won Medtech & Pharma in 2025 and again in 2026, and came back to the Masterclass to speak to the next cohort.
Fintech
Finalist, then winner
Six years of building AI that makes lending fast and transparent for borrowers, brokers and lenders. Reached the finals in 2025, used the feedback, and returned to win Fintech & Regtech in 2026.

Then, the stage
Finalists pitch live to the judges, then the National Finals & Awards night in Sydney names the winners in each category and the Australian Technology Company of the Year.
