Updated: Aug 28, 2023

After an intense review and selection process by the judging panel, we are excited to showcase the innovative and groundbreaking technologies that are primed for growth in the Australian market. The Australian Technologies Competition, now in its 13th year, serves as a testament to the remarkable talent and ingenuity that Australia's technology ecosystem has to offer.

This year's competition is delighted to have seen close to 100 applicants and 32 semi-finalists across the following categories:

  • Advanced Manufacturing

  • Clean Energy

  • Cybersecurity & Critical Tech (Web 3.0)

  • Fintech & Regtech

  • MedTech & Pharma

  • Social Impact

  • Space & Defence

  • Sustainable Cities, Communities & Transport

  • Water, Food & Agribusiness

As part of the shortlisting process, semi-finalists attended an intensive two-day masterclass program and submitted concise business plans that showcased their innovative approach and dedication to advancing technology, with the potential to make a significant domestic and global impact.

We are thrilled to present the 21 finalists who are in the running for their key category award as well as winning the overall title as the '2023 Australian Technology Company of the Year'.

We look forward to celebrating each company's success and innovation at the finals and awards nights in Melbourne and Sydney this September. Tickets are available here.

AUSTRALIAN TECHNOLOGIES COMPETITION FINALISTS FOR 2023

The competition's final step involves the finalists pitching in-person and engaging in a live Q&A with the judges allowing time for clarifying questions and for the judges to observe how well each founder presents their business. However, finalists won’t have to endure the anticipation for long as the awards ceremonies follow swiftly on the same day.

We extend our gratitude to all participants, judges, mentors, sponsors and partners who have contributed to the success of this competition. Your dedication to fostering innovation is truly inspiring.
